Has anyone fit this dinghy on the rack of a 1987 42 CL? I’m wondering how tight the spacing will be.

That transom may be 1' wider than yours, but the dinghy there is this: Avon 360 Tender with Yamaha 40hp Outboard from 2003. Your 280 ought to fit better than his!
