We've bought an '81 IG, which we love. My question is:
When washing the windows, how to I got into the place where the sliding window panes overlap each other? I can't fit my hand in there, and Qtips don't work well.

Try pipe cleaners?

On some boats, maybe the IG also, the sliding piece can be removed without too much trouble

If the windows can't be removed easily, like mine, use a hacksaw blade wrapped with a cleaning rag and windex, or whatever you're using as a cleaner. Be careful not to scratch the glass with an uncovered blade.
