boat behaviour in bad weather

Going from a sailboat to a trawler, I consider the Kady Krogen (42') affordable and economical. But how does it behave in heavy weather. Having sailed far and wide in sail boats, I always get a bit edgy when caught in bad weather in a power boat (trawler). I understand the KK42 has an unusually high righting moment.
does anyone have experience with this boat's behaviour in bad weather. I intend to travel trans-ocean, cautiously, with para vane stabilizers. Stash

Welcome to the forum Stash. As has been pointed out in "Showtime" the KK42 is a very capable boat with the right equipment, the right captain and a little help from mother nature. Good luck!

And I have already written a write up about Paravanes, but internet had been a challenge.

As soon as I can upload it with pictures, I will.

The largest seas I've seen in the last year have been 10-12' with a short period.

I didn't have the Paravanes for most of it.

She really rolls, but have never felt unsafe, just f... miserable.
