Anyone have a lead on where I can obtain a replacement part for my boom? Looks as though the tail piece (probably not the correct term) has failed and sheared off.

I should mention that our boat is a 1973 Grand Banks 32 Sedan.

Fortunately when it came crashing down my son had already walked into the salon within literally 1-second. Not a good way to start a voyage. Thank God he wasn't injured. IMG_0118.JPGIMG_0115.JPGIMG_0119.JPG

Look for a gooseneck. I doubt if you will find an identical one but you can probably replace the broken pintle. If you don't use a sail you can lose that line.

On my GB 32 I had an aluminum mast and boom made with welded fittings the had it powder coated permanet fix.

What Xsbank said. Failing that, I would look to a fabricator that supports the commercial fishing fleet in your area. The guys down here are masters at creating odd size, articulated, swiveling, high strength stuff to modify/repair fishing gear.
