That's a Trumpy. The varnished teak fashion board that breaks up the sheer line is the first visual cue.
I had never heard of a Trumpy, but I looked it up and I believe you are correct as the pix I saw all look similar and most have that varnished board on the sheer as you point out. Learn something new almost everyday.

If its yard maintained its a HUGE annual bill.
 
McQueen (Vancouver BC) used the teak trim in exactly that way on all of their wooden builds. Most ( perhaps not this one) were Ed Monk Sr. designs. Until they switched to glass in the late 80s theirs were the prettiest big yachts in the BC South Coast. Some owners did take them to other venues, though they were not built heavily enough for offshore work.

Not real good identifing old boats. This Chris Craft is a couple of docks over from me. Thought I saw a family resemblance.
