What is a better choice for charting software in a new Raymarine Axiom chart plotter.
C-Map or Navionics?

It may depend on the area. In the PNW I have both, and the C-Map is definitely a step down from Navionics. Undetailed, out of date.

With the Axiom you also have the choice of the new Raymarine charts. These are derived from the NOAA vector charts, they have improved the presentation. Sadly they have discontinued the raster charts.

I was using Navionics in your neck of the woods last week. Pretty impressive! It just keeps getting better.

I ended up getting Navionics Gold North America from Boatid.com for $120.
