Cockpit showers

Looking at a used Mainship 390 and was surprised to see that both the cockpit and foredeck showers were cold water only. Have read that one owner ( at least!) had to replace his hose to the cockpit shower with some difficulty.
Has anyone fitted a hot/cold shower? Any major difficulty? Only looking at modifying the cockpit shower.

Does it freeze in your cruising area? If you don't winterize it correctly (i.e. have it in the fully closed (!!) position after draining) you might find you have to replace the head after a winter due to dripping. I learned this the hard way.

Welcome aboard. Not familiar with that boat but it can be done. Just a matter of time and money, probably not a lot of money though. I would guess that the boat has PEX plumbing and that is pretty easy to work with.

Can you locate the cold water line that feeds the current shower?
You might try loosening the existing cold water shower and seeing if you can find a snake inserted into the openning from the bilge area under that location.
