Pump for AB Dinghy

In the market for a pump for our RIB. It's a newer ('21) AB AL RIB and holds air perfectly, but I'd like to have a pump on hand, "just in case". We had a nice bellows style foot pump on our last boat, but that went with it when we sold.

I've been doing a little looking around and am surprised by the wide range of prices - I found a couple on Defender's site that look like they would work just fine, but I don't know what valves our AB has (and the boat is a few hours away right now). I'd really like to stick in the under $50 range as it's (hopefully) not going to get much/any use and is just in case of emergency.

So, based on the above, any suggestions/recommendations, or input on AB valve types - Foot vs. hand, etc?

Thanks,

West Marine's foot pump which may be the same as Defenders for all I know, has a wide variety of adapters. They fit my Caribe and later an AB dinghy. Worse comes to worst, you might have to file down one to fit snugly.

Check with AB for the max PSI your dinghy can take. Buy a pump that has the right size pumping surface to deliver that PSI when you put your full weight on that surface.

Check into piston pumps, too. They pump on the up and down stroke, move a lot more air than the foot pumps, and I'm finding them much quicker and easier to use.

That’s what we had on our last dinghy and it worked great.

Hmmmph. I recently took delivery of a ‘2021 AB. I don’t know what size the valves are, but the pump came with it. Maybe the dealer threw it in.

I was hoping there was one, but the P.O. says nope.
