Very cool. Well done. This guy has been building solar boats for more than 30 years. He did it totally on solar power alone, no plug in recharging, using an 8hp motor.
 
Average of 32 miles/day and an average speed of 3.7 kts. You better have a lot of spare time and a lot of patience.
Devlin built another electric boat, a lot more serious, bigger, more tech, it'd be interesting to see how it'd do.

This is w a very lightweight boat that would be more useable on a big river but every bit of electric progress adds to efforts of the past.
But lightweight boats are becoming more mainstream as weather prediction glides to perfection. Not much new in hulls but none really needed.
