Has anybody here had any experience fishing in the Ensenada area?

We tried fishing today and struck out.

We trolled tuna feathers and a magnum rapella, and also bottom fished a really good looking structure just north of isla todos santos with zero success.

Anybody fished this area???

I went on a fishing charter out of Ensenada maybe 20 years ago. We caught a few small fish but the trip was a bust. I get the feeling that area is pretty fished out but I could be wrong on that. You are used to Prince William Sound AK and the great fishing there is hard to duplicate

Agree that the Ensenada area is probably very hard hit with fishing pressure. Bottom fish tend to be slow growers anyway and don't stand up to pressure well.

Kevin, wait until you get further South, and the fishing will drastically improve! Drag a line, and keep an eye on it, but just like the Sound and Resurrection Bay, the fish are where they are...
