Hi guys,

I have difficulties finding a good spot to install a forced air heater on my MS 390.

Ideal easy routing to the stern for the exhaust and one short run for hot air to the main cabin. (Have not ruled out exhaust on the side of the boat)

Are not planning to run ducts to the master or side cabin.

Any pictures of installations would ge greatly appreciated.

I would try to find room in the engine room. Helps to keep the noise out of the main cabin.

Hi, I have a 1998 350 mainship that has a webasto thermo 90 installed under the stairwell. This was installed with separate controllers for each room. This would be a fairly easy install being it would be right next to your starboard fuel tank, straight shot to stern for exhaust (above swim step) and heat entry below nav station (starboard floor when entering salon). Sure marine can supply all components and info. Its great to have a heater in the PNW Cheers J.T.

Thanks. Yes I looked at that space. Lot’s of room in the stairwell. Only problem is that it is hard to access. Have been considering to install a deck hatch in the stair for easier access.

Unfortunately no free fuel connections on SB tank. (Port tank has two free).

Can you use the heater when the door to the swim step is open? ( Thinking about the exhaust )

Trawler dream, I'm currently in the process of replacing my 25 year old webasto with a new one. It was still operational, but time to replace with my current refit of electrical components(Inverter/charger, batteries). I'll try and get some pic's this next couple weeks. As for running the heater with the swim step door open I would not advise this, but we usually only run it in the off season. CO2 alarm would be a good investment.
Cheers J.T.

You already have ducts going to the owner and guest cabins. I'd tie it into the cabin ducts, then let the hot air rise into the main cabin from those spaces.

We frequently just run the forward heater in the spring and fall and allow that to rise into the main cabin.

Have not seen any ducts. This boat do not have AC. (But is wired for AC)
