Formosa 42 Europa Trawler info wanted

Hello all:

I'm hoping to tap into the group's collective knowledge and experience.

I'm in the process of buying a 1983 Formosa 42 Europa Sedan which is currently
(wrongly) listed as a Universal by the broker. The HIN starts with FBB which
indicates it was built by the Formosa Boat Building Co. in Taiwan (or possibly
at the Ta Chou yard) and imported by California-based Formosa which apparently
went out of business in 2002. "My" boat appears to be hull #12 of who knows how
many.

I have scoured the various net forums and searches but have found scant info on
the two Formosa trawler models (they also built a 40ft tri-cabin) and no other
actual boats appear. But there is plenty on the various sailboats that FBB built
(i.e. the LeakyTeakyYachtClub group on Yahoo groups).

I have found a two-page sales sheet with drawings/specs/features of the Formosa 42*but that's all.

Any info on this CHB cousin would be appreciated. Thanks.
