How are the decks built on the wooden GBs? Teak planks all through or teak on top of something else?
Just wondering can you put composite decking directly on sand? I have dull grey paving slabs outside the back door on a small square patio and wanted to lift them and replace them, or wondering can I put down composite decking boards on the sand that's under the current slabs? My understanding is teak glued to plywood, the screws were to hold the teak in place while the glue cured. The screws are what causes the leaking through the deck. Remove the teak plugs, remove the screws, drill a hole a bit bigger then the, fill with epoxy and new plugs will fix that problem, is what I read to remedy the problem. We are going to give that a go once the spring rain here in Poulsbo subsides some.
I would say no, but I really haven’t a clue.Just wondering can you put composite decking directly on sand?
