Does anybody have experience with Go Sun solar ovens? We just got one and have not had a lot of luck.

Now you have me curious. I checked some reviews and they are decent. How are you having a hard time. Cloudy conditions, shade hitting it?

I think my biggest problem has been time. If a recipe calls for a 2-2.5 hour cook time, then you should be mentally prepared for a 3-3.5 hour cook time.

Has this been recent cooking or cooking last summer, thinking height of the sun in sky at this time of the year which is lower versus summer when it is higher in the sky.

At anchor many boats swing too often to allow the best solar exposure.

I actually believe that that might have been the issues. Both times we tried it we were at anchor and I noted that the boat's swinging in one instance. I can't recall whether boat was swinging the other time. Will be more cognizant of boat's attitude to the sun next time. Maybe deploy a stern anchor during cooking time? Thoughts?

Hmmm, Why bother? Remember when cooking a one dish meal wrapped in foil sitting on your car engine?
