As a new owner of a 2009 34 MS Trawler, I love the boat but have been disappointed with the head lighting level and storage.

I would like more lighting ("factory looking") around the existing small round mirror or replace it with a "factory looking" mirror/light/vanity cabinet.
(P.S. My light bulbs have been upgraded to LED, but still doesn't do much to illuminate the mirror/sink/vanity.)

Anyone upgrade either of these or seen some good solutions?

I agree and had the same issue. Installed one of these above the mirror and tied it to the overhead lighting so it comes on anytime the lights are on.

Wiring fairlybeasy by pulling the ohead light out and removing the pirtlight trim to get some access behind the fiberglass inner skin.

I liked this one so much I added an identical one under the upper / fwd cabinets in the galley area. Wife likes it illuminating the area fixing coffee pot fir AM deployment. We leave that on and us normally the last galley/ saloon light to be extinguished before heading for bed.

Thanks Bacchus for the reply... looks like a good lighting solution. I had popped the ceiling fixture down a bit last weekend and noted the space above but wasn't sure how to get the wiring "fished" to the mirror. Portlight trim removal should be the key.

I don't know how it was built, but I also think this mirror surround light was a neat solution, which I found on a "MS 34 -listing pictures".

Yeah, but when others "who can see" comment about my blotchy shave, it gets old
