Hull design of ocean yacht 1979 40+2

hi all.I. ew to this group but love the knowledge and conversation.Ive been looking at the unique hull design of the 40+2 trawler and had thoughts that the concept was similar to the Shannon boats design.just putting it out there.the 40+2 design is a head scratcher to me.any thoughts

Pretty sure it was a standard Ocean 40 ft sport fish hull that they extended and filled in under the swim platform for the +2

If my upload worked, I've attached the write up from the PowerBoat Guide. The bible of all things powerboat related. Anyway, looks like the 40' Super Sport hull revamped as a trawler. At the risk of opening a can of worms, I've always thought convertible/sport fish designs made great cruising boats.
