Pulled the raw water pump off to see if shaft is in condition to be rebuilt. When reassembling had a spare bronze (?) washer. I could not find a parts view online then thought of my original owners engine book. See attached.
You old salties already know this but a new to me. I was surprised to find this leftover part in my tray. It is part 12 on the chart, Adaptor Ring. It is stuck in casing until you tap out the shaft. After assembling pump you tap it tight into the casing with a large socket and hammer. Only fits tight one way.
