The pictured connector has a bad wire/pin. this gous in to the wiring box atop the generator. Generator works fine but will not crank from my breaker panel switch.

I can 1) replace the pin if i can source it and find out how to remove the old one

Or 2) replace the entire male side connector if i can find a new one.

Any ideas?

Looks like a Molex connector.
You can get replacement pins and the tool to insert/remove them.
Quick search online should find the parts or a kit.
Parts vary by wire size so figure out the size needed from existing wire GA.

Lots of How To videos online as well.

Thanks. Im fairly sure wire size is 14ga so i ordered from amazon for that. Hopefully i just change a pin but could do the entire connector.

Much appreciation.

Yes molex. Kohler sells them but looks like all you need is a 4 pin harness. Can always replace the whole plug. Those molex connectors are not very sealed. Look up detushe harnesses. It corroded once why not upgrade it.

Replacing the one corroded pin fixed my issue. I didn’t want to replace the existing connector with something else as the case opening would not have allowed it and I wasn’t up for a project. I liberally applied dielectric grease upon reassembly.

Good to hear! That will do the trick to. Some dielectric grease. I just never liked getting that stuff everywhere. Its like anitsieze but you cant see it only feel it.
