Krogen 42 Silhouette Fuel Filling problem

We have 2 diesel fuel tanks on board our "new to us" KK 42.- 1987
One in the stern and one in the engine room. There is a Y valve that comes down to the engine room from the fuel fill. No diversion lever - just a y valve. We fill the aft tank fine but the center tank in the engine room will not fill.
Can someone please help!! There were no original diagrams or manuals with her when we purchased her 4 months ago. Pattey

I would look carefully at the fill diversion valve.

It may be from non fuel service and have stuck in one position , even tho the lever moves.

Follow the engine fuel line and see which tank is connected , and if there are other connections to things like pumps , filters etc.

Draw a schematic of what you find. Post it so we all can guess.

As a WAG, one tank is the main tank and the other is a day tank, filled somehow thru a pump and filter or two.
