Krogen Lunch in Martinique

Sylken Sea (48 Ken and Sylvianne), Dauntles (42 Richard and Micah) Seamantha (58 John and Paulettee) and Bay Pelican (42 Marty and Deb) gathered for a long lunch in Saint Anne Martinique. The discussions ranged from Richard's Atlantic crossings, repairs in the Eastern Caribbean to which are the best restaurants in southern Martinique.

In anyone's memory this was the largest gathering of Krogens in the Windward Islands.

About normal for an inexpensive restaurant in France. Great!

Man...that is sweet. We can hardly wait to be part of a real Island rendezvous, and speaking of Krogen get-togethers, looks like we're having our first Weekly Krogen breakfast here on Longboat Key starting Tuesday, Jan. 24th. Two Manatees, a 39, a 44, several 48's, and a 58 are already here and more coming. When you guyz get to the Gulf side, stop in!

Not as much as you would expect. If I had to guess it was because the other three boats were all familiar with Dauntless' crossings and also were seasoned passage makers.

What was fascinating was the discussion of government bureaucracy, the European VAT, the visa restrictions as to time spent in the EU. Travel restrictions and the crowding present in the European waters.

This discussion took place in Martinique which is France (Americans can think of Hawaii) and all of us where familiar with the VAT and Visa restrictions at least in France.
