I have a 2007 34' Mainship Pilot and I think I have a leak behind the shower faucet in the head. The water pump cycles on and off and some water leaks into the bilge even though I cannot see where it is coming from. The water lines disappear into the upper corner above the holding tank. Has anyone had a similar problem? Is it possible to remove the faucet from the head in order to access the water lines? Thanks for any help!

I had a leak in my shower valve; 2005 34T. It was pretty involved to repair. I don't know what yours looks like, but if they are similar I can offer some tips.

Can you get an inspection camera inside to take a look? Or maybe an inspection plate to look behind and maybe access to repair it. Nothing wrong with an inspection plate if you do it neatly. Then it is there for when the repaired faucet leaks again.

Thanks for the replies. Realized the lack of access is largely due to the recessed cabinet in the head. Of course no access plate but may have to make one. It also may be possible to remove the cabinet but will have to remove trim, etc. We had a home style shower replaced in our old boat and the labor was quite a bit. Will let you know what I find.

Any updates on your repair. I have a similar issue on my MS 34 and am interested to hear how you fix it.

Shower mixers are notorious spots for leaks, typically due to winterization issues and subsequent freezing. Doesn't take much ice expansion to crack them.

Is there an escutcheon on the mixer? A plate of some sort behind the handle? That's usually how to you gain access for replacing the mixer cartridge.

I second the recommendation to get an inexpensive inspection camera. I've used one several times on our EB47. Get the kind that uses a client on your phone to talk to it via WiFi. That way you can put the phone (or tablet) in plain view and the wrestle with the camera cable as necessary. The kind that plug straight into the phone are a hassle because of this.

My shower head drips continuously, so I assume my problem is just a bad cartridge. Do you know if shower valve cartridge can be replaced from the front (inside shower).
Any tips if the complete valve assembly replacement is needed?
