Magnasine 2012 inverter charger

I am sharing information most may already know. There are no parts available for these even though they are still being sold brand new. This is model 2012 specific, but may well be all the models as some circuit boards may be interchangeable. Since last fall supplies were scrounged from around the world and now depleted. One has to wonder if when Magnum energy was taken over by Sensata Technologies whether this was a planned exit or whether we can continue to blame the supply chain. Where are the jobbers, how hard can it be to replicate a circuit board?

My experience is that once an inverter company gets bought the product line gets run into the ground.

Xantrex did this to trace and now it appears to be happening to magnum.

On the good side, my 30 year old trace inverter/charger still works flawlessly. My Magnum inverter/charger is only 7 years old, we will need tO see if it can with stand the test of time.

Two years ago my Magnum 2812 was acting up. It was more cost effective and much quicker to trash it and buy a new one.

I view inverters, any brand, as throw aways once a repair tech says “ let’s send it back for a check up”
