I feel silly asking this question, but I just couldn't see how it's done. The salon windows on the MS400. The ones behind the galley on the starboard side and the ones next to the dinette and behind the couch on the portside. How can the screens be removed? I'd like to clean the glass, but the screens block access and if I need to replace the screens, it would be much easier with them out.

Thanks

Welcome aboard. No silly questions. How about a photo of the window and screen since a lot of us here have not seen that particular window and screen combination. Photos almost always help.

Welcome aboard TF.
Including more info or pics as Dave suggested will get better responses.
On my 2008 MS 34HT the window screens slide in the track for the windows and are removable by raising them up and pulling in on the bottom once it clears the bottom track. My side, front windows & doors are AL2000 brand mfg by Pompanette.
They are not easy to remove and may take 2 people. They are spring loaded on the top and you need to compress that spring enough & raise the screen to clear the bottom track.
Reinstalling is just the opposite and a little easier as you can apply upward force from the bottom of the screen.

FYI there are a couple "sticky" threads re MS Parts in the Marlow-MS builders section. There is also link to Steve Cyrs "Stella Blue" website on my Bacchus website in the Useful Links section. Stella Blue is a wealth of info on late year MS boats especially for the MS 400.
