What year was that? 1976?

I know mine was selling was once upon a time for for $49,500. On yours it was selling for $47,500. How much did it cost to buy a house in those days? Also 40 grand-(ish)?(I live in Toronto)

Greetings,
Mr. M. You got me curious so I looked it up. Average home price in TO in 1973 was about $40K. Good guess.

Yes, I had seen one on the Ottawa river in 2000.

Looked very impressive - then it ended.

This is such an interesting discussion. I have a copy of the original sales invoice for our boat in 1996: $375,000. I just about had a stroke when I saw that -- we bought it in 2015 for under six figures. Talk about depreciation, and ours was in top condition. Mainship didn't make a million of our model so there are typically very few sales listings at any given time, but in this crazy market some asking prices are over six figures again. For what asking price is worth in boat markets - for a model coming up on thirty years old. It's nuts.

Thankyou.
I will be resuming the work on her in a few months now that I can afford some time off work.
I will make sure I keep the post updated.
I have a big job ahead of me
