hi
i once had a trawler
a 40 foot ocean alexander
in order to remininsce i would like to build a model
any advice as to sources of kits or brands

There are commercial entities which will build a model for you, but that do not give out parts/plans. Last time I checked some years ago, a Grand Banks 42 ran about 5 thousand dollars. To build your own, I suspect you will need to get the plans for the boat and build it yourself as I did when I wanted to build a model of a ship I commanded in the Navy.
