Hey all, I currently own a Californian 34 and this is my second one over 7 years. I love my "Cali Girl" but it may be time to move up. I've been poking around for a year or so and found Navigator boats which to my surprise where also built by Marshalls.
The boat got my attention with the dual helms, and a floor plan that just seems to make sense. And, being a USCG Captain wanting to possibly put her into charter legally. (Yes, Jones act will keep you from legally chartering if the boat was not built in the US. Unless you get a exemption).
I really like the Cherry wood which I think they started in 2000? Like everyone else I've heard Volvo parts can be expensive.
So my questions are...
Which length with the same 15 beam seems to be the sweet spot? A 50 ft seems good with that beam.
Can anyone tell me any negative issues to look out for?
Which Volvo engines would you look for? Yes, I want to get her to plane...when I want.
Thanks mates!
