Just thought I'd share. We just had two installed while it was out for bottom paint and just the other day I wired them up. We love them. The pictures don't do them justice.

PS....ever since Photobucket decided to hold my 12 years of pictures hostage, I'm trying to find another image hosting site. I'm trying Flickr. Sorry you have to click the links. Let me know if you see them ok.

Greetings,
Mr. 91. Sorry. I couldn't readily find a gif that said "I see the light"...

They look good.

How about now?

Oh they do work. Ok. I still need to figure out how to find the BBcode

How do you keep the growth off them ?

While them off when we get there for the weekend. I couldn't believe how much growth they get in just 1 week. But apparently Folly Beach is one of the worst areas for growth on the east coast.

Steve, what is the width of your transom? I'm playing with the UW idea and the last thing I want is to underdo it. Do you find the two lights enough or do you regret not having put in a third or fourth?

I was afraid 2 wouldn't be enough either, but I think it's plenty. My beam is, I believe, 11' 10".

The marina that installed them did a good job of placing them. They are well spaced. For some reason when you take a picture of them, the picture comes out with a super bright circle behind each one. That is not there with the naked eye. Here are a couple more pics.

I think these two pictures best depict the lights.

It's just an aqua even glow. But with a wider beam, a 3rd or 4th might be necessary.

Firstbase...we're out on the boat right now. Thought about your question. We have 2, a third would definitely be better. There is a dim spot in the center. But at the same time it doesn't look odd or bother me. The light scatters so much. But a third would really fill it in.

With a wider beam, I'd say you definitely would want a third or fourth.

Again the camera makes it look worse than it is.

Thanks for the pics. It is so hard to photograph this type of thing and I appreciate your efforts! I think I have to manage my expectations on this. Meaning...our last home was on the water and we had an underwater light on the bottom, about 6' deep, out about 10' off the dock. It was an awesome sight at night. On the bottom and aimed straight up with the light beam showing all of the action from bottom to top and out many feet all around. I don't think lights on the back of the boat are going to give that view. It seems that with this more is better but at a cost of $$$ and holes in the hull! The worst would be to spend a good chunk of cash and end up with "Eh" as the response when they are turned on. Time to wander around the bar/restaurant docks on a Fri/Sat night and ask some questions. Nothing like real life to help decide.

Definitely need to see them in person to really get an idea of what they are like. I will say this, my wife was pretty pissed when she found out how much they cost. She said they absolutely weren't worth it. But once she saw them, her exact words were "ok never mind, they are totally worth it".

Here's another pic I took last weekend.

LOL, that's the situation I'm in and the bet I'm about to make!
