I want to install one red dot air handler in my boat. I’m considering separating the the air handler and water heater from the engine cooling system with a “Plate heat exchanger”

Where do I find a Plate heat exchanger suitable for marine use?

Any suggestions how to source and dimension such a system is greatly appreciated.

I’m not locked in to Red Dot. So any suggestions for air handlers are welcome.

I purchased a stainless steel unit from a reputable manufacture, Xylem Brazepak, off ebay. It's about 7L inches x 4W x 3D, roughly 4 plates. It separates my Espar, bus heater, and water heater from the engine circuit. I use the Espar pump to circulate the water if the engine is running. If the Espar is burning diesel, I mounted the heat exchanger lower then the engine to enable thermo-siphon to warm the engine.

My hydronic system uses the REAL brand air handlers. I like them a lot as they’re quiet and energy efficient. Lots of choices for layout of water and air plumbing too.

There are many plate heat exchangers on ebay.
