Hello all ,trying to find a resource for replacing gasket on our under counter refrigerator door . Our boat is 2001 Europa , the original gasket is glued on and shaped like the capital letter B was hoping someone would have a resource for a replacement thank you Tom bender on board the Elegante

Can you find the brand and model number for the actual fridge?

That'd be more useful info than the boat it's in...

Hi Chris
The refrigerator door is made by Grand Banks it’s not a commercial refrigerator
I am having trouble posting a picture of it
Thanks

On the TF home page there is a section about how to use the forum. In that section is a sticky on how to post photos.

Ah. Didn't realize they did that.

I've seen boat makers cover the original door with something fancier, but haven't ever sees a whole door/gasket replaced...

That looks like a generic rubber weather seal. Check the hardware store, they have lots of different styles. Doesn't have to be exactly the same shape, just close to the same dimensions and density. I'm sure GB didn't have that gasket made special for them, they used something off the shelf.

We also have custom wood side doors and top hatches for our refrigerator and freezer compartments. It was challenging to match thickness to the available clearance and have a tight seal. Recently replaced gaskets with materials from these two suppliers.

Different profiles, some with adhesive.

Replacement seals for commercial equipment. Will send samples of their profiles. Most are designed to fit into grooved slots. Some have magnetic inserts to seal against steel surfaces.

Good luck with your project.

Steele Rubber Products.

I did my frig, freezer, front window, helm door, and engine hatches. I think they also have fuzzys for rear door.

Go to my blog, grandbankschoices, I think there is a write up somewhere.
