This is the model autopilot I have. I did some work in the lazerette are a few years ago and disconnected the rudder indicator and tore out the rotten mount. I’m just now putting it all back together, I know I’m slow.
I think this is how I remember it being mounted, attached to the rudder arm and not the post. I know the book says mount it to the post but then it would be in the way of my emergency tiller. Do y’all see any potential problems with the way I have it mounted?
I’ve managed to get through the first part of set up that can be done at the dock. It cycled through like it’s supposed to. Now it says I’m ready to go for a spin and adjust everything. Labor Day weekend is our first chance to get back out on the water but that’s probably not the best time to adjust an autopilot.:nonono:

I have a Si-Tex 1420 and mine is attached to the rudder shaft. The farther from the shaft the more movement required. The processor should learn the amount of movement required for corrections. Good luck with it.

I had a SITEX 70 on my trawler which I installed myself, and your rudder sensor looks correct to me. Cannot imagine how it would work right otherwise.
