Simrad and coastal explorer not working together

I can't get my Simrad and coastal explorer to work together.
I have the latest upgrade on coastal explorer, I installed new Simrad AP 44 setup; with new compass, heading screen etc.
I've had Coastal Explr tech's setup everything on my computer while it's been connected to the nmea 2000 with simrad AP connected.
They say there is something not set in the Simrad setup to tell it to work with coastal explr.
I've tried to get help thru Simrad tech group but they say it's not on their side.
Can anyone suggest anything to check?

Costal Explorer can output NMEA 0183. Simrad can read NMEA 0183. You can always try this route.
