If I am able to get starlink in Mexico and have it shipped there.

How long will it work after I enter back to US states?

30 days. Then the make you change your mailing address, along with all the things that go with you new address. Like price.

Should work indefinitely. Starlink "mobile regional" plan works anywhere on land in the same continent. Unless something has changed Mexico is the same continent as the USA. To use in the ocean you just need to enable ocean data and pay $2/MB. This is assuming we are talking a boat with a mobile plan.

I'm also a new Starlink user. Would the Roam plan also work in Mexico? I'm using it on the boat and the RV.

I'm not sure how the roam plans were defined and since January of this year several major changes were made to the plans. Starlink itself contradicts itself on the website but roam plans are technically replaced with mobile plans but I believe users can be grandfathered into the original roam plans. They actually simplified the plans and made it more clear what each plan includes. I have an email from starlink detailing all the current plans. I will attach it to this thread once I get a chance to find it.

I have the Starlink Mexico plan that used to be the RV plan at 1300 pesos per month (around $76 USD at current exchange rates). We went from Ensenada to San Diego and back a few weeks ago and had no coverage issues whatsoever. Did not need to invoke the $2/gb tier or anything. For near shore, seems to be a common experience.

Well I had a long reply with details of the current plans offered by starlink. And now it is gone. No idea why???

Screen shot off my Starlink account page showing the plans. I have the $1350 peso plan (formally known as RV). As mentioned above, went from Ensenada to San Diego, about 75 nms each way with no issues.

Current conversion rate is around $17 MXN to $1 USD

Apologies. Here's the screenshot. Screenshot_20230928_074814_Starlink.jpg

rural Canada has a hardware discount ending soon of $199 Can$ but the monthly rate is the same as urban. Our monthly is same as US when $ converted. But it seems Mexico has a discounted monthly rate.
Your home address determines the monthly rate anywhere in North America. That is how I read it. Travellers from US get the Mexico plan when they establish a Mexico address to save monthly fee, not because they have to.
