All,

Can anyone relate any experience with using Starlink offshore, like the Gulf of Mexico (Tampa to Pensacola) or the Bahamas. Reception?

Thx

West coast we have connectivity from panama to seattle and out to Hawaii.
*reports of not working in shelter bay Panama but I don’t have first hand experience on that.

East coast it has been flawless from NC to Antigua.

What speeds are you getting in Antigua? I live here and would seriously consider getting it as a home install.

It must be covered elsewhere, but which version are you using, RV or the expensive Marine? Are you using the upgraded antenna?

CruisersForum (predominantly sail) has many reports of sailors gleefully using Starlink throughout Mexico, Bahamas, and Caribbean. None use the expensive Marine version. All seem to use the RV version. Some folks have hacked their antenna to disable the servo motors.

Note that Starlink recently changed their ToS to state that going faster than 10mph may lead to service interruption. No idea if this is being enforced.
