Surveyor Needed in Bay Area, Also Cat Engine Surveyor

Hi folks,

My offer was just accepted on a sweet Californian 52 COMY in Sausalito. I live in Los Angeles, and could use some referrals. I need a trust -worthy and thorough surveyor for the boat, and a Cat specialist to survey to motors up in the Bay area.

All input is welcome. It's my 5th large boat and I'm still nervous!!

For engine survey try chuck Thomson of, I think, chucks marine service. He has surveyed and maintained my diesels for 15 years. Very complete and thorough surveys.

Thanks for the names so far. Has anybody used, or heard of, Steven or Ben Medlock? My broker has them lined up for my mechanical survey. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Steve Wedlock. He did my survey 10 years ago. Came highly recommended by my best friend who used him on his 42 Jefferson Sundeck Trawler. He did a fine job and was available to me for followup info years later when I needed verification of fuel system standards.

PM me your email if you would like to see my survey from him. Seems complete to me, but it's the first (and hopefully the last) I had done.
