Surveyor Recomendation Mobile Bay Area

Howdy folks,
Looking for recommendations for a surveyor that actually owns a trawler, or primarily surveys trawlers in the Mobile Bay, Alabama area.

I want more than just a report of how many switches and thru-hulls the boat has. Figured someone that owns/operates/maintains his own trawler would have a better feel for boat handling, performance and hidden issues than the average guy. I've got the SAMS website list for that area.

Search on Pensacola fishing forum.com and also THT Gulf section as well. There have been a few recommendations for surveyors and out of those you may find one with a trawler. Good luck and please let us know who you use and your experience!

Make a few calls to some yacht brokers in that area, at least three different ones. Ask for the names of two or three surveyors in the area from the brokers and then see if the same names comes up more than once. Contact these surveyors and ask for samples of their surveys and information about what boats they have surveyed in the past.
