WE all saw Fotomans Wheel and embarassed him into refurbishing it.

So how about a shot of your own Ships wheel. Here's mine

**** Mine's similar to Eric's and Mark's, but it comes with a retro autopilot belt/servo.* Looks a bit funky, but it works.* It holds heading pretty well and does even better in altitude hold.*

Mine was made by one of the last wood wheel makers here in Qld had to prise it off him with cash in a brown paper bag back in 94.

Here's ours. Powersteering is strong so it's a small wheel. But on the one occasion, when the belt running the steering pump let go, I would have liked a bigger wheel!

Yeah guys standard side for Aussie built boats.
But as so many boats are imported and initially built for the US market stbd side steer is probably more the norm.
Port side steering so that when passing on comming vessel with normal protocol red to red easy to give a wave.

Tied the turks head myself and it is looking a bit tired (16 years old) may have to do a new one soon once the back log of current jobs has been cleared

What I don't understand is how can you possibly run the helm without all that clutter of charts, coffee cups/drink cans, binocs, sunscreen bottles, hats, and half-eaten sandwiches?* You must have tidied up for the picture.

Well, we have owned this boat 5 years now, and have never helmed from the lower station, but you should see the rubbish on the flybridge.

Full of discarded prawns and lobsters,bottles of the finest Oz wines and champagne, half drunk. Girls so lovely you won't believe your eyes, who apply the sunscreen. Balmy weather with a zephyr of a breeze to cool you down..........................and*you call that the wrong*side of the ocean?.
