Yet another reason not to have a yacht so large that you need crew.

A Ukrainian ship's engineer who has worked in the engine room of a super yacht for 10-years apparently took offense at his boss's job: selling arms to Putin, some of which are undoubtedly being used in Ukraine.

As the saying goes - payback is a bitch. He opened a pair of thru-hulls in an effort to sink the yacht off Majorca, though only damage turned out to be the engine room was flooded and engine was destroyed. Hopefully, the owner's accounts are frozen and repair will be difficult.

The engineer was arrested in Majorca and deported. He is excited to pick-up arms against Russia. You gotta love the zeal of the Ukrainians.

As this mess built up to the disaster it is, my big question was, will the Ukrainians fight if Putin was daft enough to invade. I figured they would.

The Ukrainians had a insurrection against the Soviets from the end of WWII until 1955/56. A decade fighting against Stalin. Figured if the Ukrainians could fight Stalin for 10 years, if Putin invaded, it was not going to be a cake walk like the press was implying.

Later,
Dan
