I used to install them for one of the companies that makes them. They do/can work but they are not a miracle cure.

The idea has been around for a long time, I believe the Navy tried it, or similar, years ago. I don't know anyone who has used it.

Hi our 45 footer has ultrasonics, 4 transmitters in total and the initial factory micron anti foul lasted for 30 months in the warm waters of Qld. Seems most effective at keeping barnacles off the flatter surfaces but no impact on slime and weed buildup, nor does it work around solid sections like the keel where I presume the sonic vibrations don't penetrate enough to disturb barnacle growth.
