Thanks to everyone for your responses. Our boat is new and looks great but I really like the glossy look of Varnish. Since the boat is garaged, I'm not concerned with the sun. I will look into the Cetol product to add the finish I'm looking for and see how that turns out. Thanks again.

No sanding is needed with the Cetol Gloss. If you do choose to sand between coats you can achieve the same results / finish as you would with varnish. 3 coats of Cetol Natural Teak or Cetol light and 3 coats of gloss will get you a maintenance free finish for 2-3 years in New England. Friends and I were just talking about Marshall Catboats today. Nice boat. Good luck
