THREE hours ago I started a little task. Attach a 1-1/2" hose, and a 5/8" hose, to two barb fittings each.
Why the @#$%^& do they have to make the hoses just a little bit smaller than the fittings? Or is it the fittings a little bit larger than the hoses?
I know it's possible to make them the same size, because I've had others fit right up, snug but easy enough to push on with a little jiggling.
This took a hair dryer, a pot of boiling water, a trip to the chandler for a different brand of hose, a bottle of hose lube and every cuss word I know.
It shouldn't be this difficult.
OK. I'm done. I feel better now. Thanks for listening
