Leg 4 Itajaí to Newport, the in-port race in Newport is May 20,then they leave for Denmark on the 21st,should be a pretty large spectator fleet,I’m pretty sure my boat will be there,The Volvo ocean race is an incredible event

We are thinking of having a watch party at fort Westherall or Beavertail light.

I brought my 21ft hydrasport to the last stopover in Newport. Followed the in port racing as much as possible. But the spectator fleet is large and restricted fairly far from the race course. As racing sailors it was exciting to see but those boats go so fast you cant keep up. When they set chutes and left for valencia we followed at about 30-35mph as they pulled away......

We plan to bring our mainship 390 up for the 12 meter worlds at end of july into august. Should also be a zoo since the folk and jazz fests happen on the beginning and ending weekends.
