AIS - has anyone used the Chinese Matsutech AIS Transponder?

Matsutech AIS Transponder is very low cost. Does anyone have any feedback on it? I see from older losts in other forums that its approval status is questionable.
 
why would you get anything that are approval status is questionable, and made in China? When there are other manufacture that are approved and have warranty ...
What's your life and others worth.

I’d recommend staying from anything Chinese. Unless you want them tracking you.
 
Maybe a link to the one you're looking at? Emtrek are pretty reasonably priced and higher quality.
