Those who have visited Sydney may have been to Taronga Zoo. Located on Sydney Harbour, a short ferry ride from the ferry terminal,it`s a pretty place, the beach and bay adjacent are popular,with boats anchoring and crews going ashore for bbqs and picnics. There are several National Parks moorings provided, but it`s a bouncy place overnight.
Early last month 5 lions, Dad and 4 year old cubs, exited their enclosure at the zoo, due to what the Zoo calls a "fence integrity issue".
Videos of the escape, return, and exploration in between by the lions, has been released under FOI request. It`s fascinating, be patient, it`s a little slow to load:
