Bee keepers use sticky flat boards to catch bee pests. Probably work for flys if you can convince them to land on it.

An 83 foot yacht caught fire on the Miami River near the 12th Avenue bridge. Don’t know if this link will work.

When you remove the filter you’ll need to change the hose. That should eliminate any blockage in the hose. Stick a probe into the tank where the hose fitting is to be sure the blockage isn’t there.
Trying to blow into the tank through the vent is like trying to inflate a rigid balloon. I don’t...
I think some new boats are coming with just the external strainers. The hole type, not slotted. I suggest the Groco APHS as it has a replaceable plate and can be opened to clean inside.
The Wilcox-Crittenden seacocks used straight pipe thread tail pieces. These required a gasket to seal them. They actually came with leather gasket. I don’t think there is an easy way to change it from a 1” hose to 3/4”. Those are great seacocks.
I think you’re looking for a Groco FNPS Hose to Male Pipe elbow.

Wow, I’m sorry to hear that. I love Perfection. I could get a beautiful glossy finish with just a roller.
I sold Interlux paint for about fifty years. If they are discontinuing Perfection, they already have something better to replace it.
