It might be an issue with overhead height in Europe, but I think outriggers with stabilizer fish you drag is a much more elegant solution. -Likely cheaper to fabricate - The lever arm of getting them out away from the boat allows for much less surface area of the fish to still be effective...

Might also try one of the zincs you clamp onto ground and just hang over the side on a cable while at the dock. Would be much easier than installing grounded transom zincs, and could give you a better idea if the larger project was worth it.

We have only done it once, but the above advice all sounds good to me. I would highly recommend this trip. It takes way less time than going to Alaska, (Which is also great) and feels like a bigger adventure. A few things I would add. We enjoyed Sea Otter cove but it was SCARY coming in...

If the boat is new to you, and you are not 100% confident about its systems I would have it brought up on a truck. Should be no problem in that size range. Of coarse you can bring it up on it's own bottom if the adventure sounds like fun.

I met a guy last year that had bought a one and was over the moon about it. He really liked the interior layout. To say that it was not my style of boat is an understatement. Everybody has their own priorities and tastes.

Woodwork around most of the windows and opening ports/ fixing the windows and ports, Paint (This is a huge expense to have professionally done on a boat like this), headliners (Again, huge expense), carpets look stained in a couple places. Electronics are old and a buyer would likely upgrade...

That does look like a great boat, that is well priced. I will guess at why it looks so cheap. 1. I bet it would cost a lot more than 100-200K to have it brought back to super nice yacht spec if hired it out. I bet if you brought it into a high quality yard and had them fix all the issues...
