They are dogs. If transiting the Soo locks and we decide to tie up and look around Sault Ste Marie Ontario, I know we (people) have to clear customs/immigration but what is required of our dogs beyond their vaccination documentation? Or maybe stopping there is not worth the time? Thanks.

If you carry proof of vax for your dog(s) you should be good. Our experience was that the border guys, both sides, are not interested in holding you up, and tend to ignore your animals. If you give them some other reason to hassle you, your dogs better have everything up to speed.
