So I decide to do the arch instead of mast. Will be affixed to sides of bridge. I've been on lotsa boats, and every one had the bridge sides hollow.
NOT THIS ONE. There are wood members within the bridge sides almost where the arch will attach. But just off enough that they can't be relied on to hold to. I have fished oak backers with SS T nuts & caught a few. So question - you guys know of any SERIOUS expanding foam to fill weird shaped voids that would be a backer between these random pieces of wood?

No foam will likely do the job. Can you cut an access hatch to give you room to work?

Already did, 6" port in between 2 mtg points. Haha, Taiwanese brothers positioned vertical 4x4 members carefully calculated to not allow access fore or aft.........
Maybe concrete ?

Can you glass an aluminum plate in the area. I have used 1/4” aluminum plate as backing. Buttered it with thickened epoxy. Let the epoxy go off then drill and through bolt to it.

The "feet" of the arch are 4.5 dia , I have cut a 2" circle out in the center which would be hidden. That's all I have to work in. Wood verticals behind glass make it impossible to get any more access . So far I am working oak thru the holes & flipping it once in.
Oh, I WILL win. Just looking for better way. TKS!
