New "marine" BBQ

Today we tried out the rotisserie on our new "marine" BBQ.

I got tired of my little Sea B Que and decided to up the game a bit.

To make it seaworthy I held it in place using stainless Steel hardware.

Oh, I see you bought a boat to put under your grill. Nice!

Seriously though, that's a lot of grill! Lots of good eatin' on your boat!
 
I was looking at replacing my Sea B que once more. By the time you buy a burner, and grates you have really bought the grill.

I was tired of the small size as we entertain often and wanted a larger BBQ.
I also wanted a BBQ with multiple burners.

That narrowed it down to a house size BBQ, and the Napoleon is pretty high end with a lifetime warranty, even on the burners and grates.

The problem then became where to put it, and how to hold it in place in a seaway.
I turned the skiff sideways, which put it more naturally under the crane, and that freed up lots of space.

Then I hunted down stainless steel shelf brackets on Amazon to secure it.

A fun project!

Kevin, I’m sorry to see that your trip to Mexico was a complete waste of effort.😆
I love life in Mexico!
But... my cruising partner was just approved for her American tourist Visa, after waiting 2 years for an appointment, so we will be heading back up the coast next spring to spend the summer exploring the Pacific Coast.

We might come back the next winter, or we might overwinter in Washington or Canada and continue. We'll have to see how that one plays out. How much fun we are having, and how far we are North at the end of summer.

She has a house here and a business to attend to, so we will be back and forth every few weeks either way.
 
You are such a different person on the forum since your Mexican arrival. Apparently the warm weather agrees with that old Alaskan body of yours. If you make it back up to the PNW I will come check out that BBQ.

Tonight we are sitting in the cockpit, enjoying the cool breeze, and enjoying a nice Tequila.

After having worn out a Magma Kettle I went with a Blaze table top marine grade bbq. I've had a 5 burner built-in for 8 years at the fishing lodge I run and it’s bullet proof. They all have heavy cast stainless burners that don't corrode away after a couple of seasons. I carry it on a Magma rail-mounted fish cleaning table and hook it to a dedicated fbgls propane tank. The downside is that it’s a little hefty at 50lbs and there’s only one cooking zone. but I love cooking on it and I cook outside professionally.
