TX Trawler looking for areas to explore

So I pulled the trigger on a 41 Trawler. Home port will be Corpus Christi or Rockport.
Boat sitting in WPB - will bring it to Texas in hops over the Thanksgiving/Christmas breaks.

Any advice from past sailors would be be appreciated.
Looking for people in the South Texas area.

Welcome aboard and greetings from Rockport! We live in SA and keep our boat in Cove Harbor. Been here 10 years and prefer this area over CC and Port A. Let us know when you come to town.

I keep Old School at San Patricio County Municipal Marina, Aransas Pass. It is gated and locked, with fencing around the whole place. HEB nearby which is handy. Deisel and gas nearby about halfway to Rockport.
