Hello, I’m new to CHB ownership and the forum, after recently purchasing a ‘78 CHB 45’ Puget Trawler. While cleaning the starboard Ford Lehman raw water inlet strainer, the bottom harness bolt (cast in bronze) is stripped and the clear lens wing nut just spins: the strainer will not seal. A quick search doesn’t seem to reveal replacement components for this nor an entirely new flat bowl of that style, yet several vertical can-type filters with brass, and several cheaper looking plastic versions. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Have you had a look through Spences Marine in Tsehum Harbour?

If no joy, I would consider a Groco or Perko product.

This is awesome: thanks so much for the recommend - I’ve been in touch and am bringing in the old strainer today to see what works best. Much appreciated!
